Bellfield is a multi-residential social housing development, delivered by Launch Housing in collaboration with Banyule Council, incorporating 58 apartments over four levels, including a mix of studios, one-bed and two-bed apartments.

The project responds to a significant shortage of these types of dwellings within the area, establishing provision of housing for low to moderate income earners within the community, enabling residents to have the assurance and security of a place to live. The design response is driven by sustainability, meeting Launch and Banyule’s high NatHERS rating ambitions.

The landscape incorporates communal outdoor social spaces including an outdoor deck and BBQ area adjacent community gardens and informal gathering areas. Shared outdoor spaces feature planting in provision of environmental amenity and biodiversity, including local vegetation, productive species, canopy shade trees, screening forming a welcoming, adaptable and resilient landscape.
